In C.S. Lewis' "Space Trilogy," the cosmology depicts a universe where each planet is governed by a spiritual being called an "Oyarsa," essentially an angelic figure, and Earth, named "Thulcandra" (the Silent Planet), is considered a fallen world ruled by a malevolent Oyarsa, the "Bent One," reflecting Lewis' Christian theological views where the universe is not merely a physical space but a living, moral entity with a hierarchy of spiritual beings overseeing it; drawing heavily from medieval cosmology, where the cosmos is seen as a structured and meaningful place, unlike the modern scientific view of a cold and indifferent universe.
The point is not to chase some strange theology just because it is fun, but to understand how robust our Biblical cosmology really is. Sometimes we have to take the ridiculous ideas seriously. If Christians disregard these narratives then they never get addressed with truth. Billy Carson is an example of how ridiculous ideas can attract a lot of attention. It also illustrates just how vulnerable we can be to deception. That is, until someone like Wesley Huff decided to engage with those ideas from the Biblical perspective.
I explore the connection between theology, humanity, history and culture. I do this in the hopes of creating meaningful dialogue with others. I am creating dialogues with Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan, Russel Brand and other powerful voices in culture.
