WIRED had 11 exciting startup's across retail and money. Each startup had only five minutes to pitch their companies to a trio of judges and win over the audience.

Joe Metcalfe, founder of Thrift+ was the retail winner for the WIRED Smarter 2019 Lightening Showcase.

After Joe set up the UK's first click and collect app for high-street charity shops in 2015, he shifted his focus to provide a donation service directly to individuals to help reward them for their generosity, and encourage higher value donations.
