This is supposed to be an accompaniment for a singer. I put a lot of time and effort into it and still couldn’t get the rhythm exactly as it was played in the movie (‘Get Real’). But it’s okay. The sheet music synthesia displays is not..neat. See the pdf sheet music I uploaded for better. To make this I used Finale Printmusic 2011, the Yamaha YPG 535 piano keyboard, SynthFont, the Maestro Concert Grand soundfont, Audacity (to record the midi of the song played in SynthFont), Synthesia, Transcribe!, Bandicam, Adobe Premiere Elements 2010, and Windows Live Movie Maker. Additionally, I made an mp3 of the song from the movie so I could transcribe it easier. Once I got the mp3, I loaded it into Transcribe! and began the arduous process of notating it into Finale. Then after several hours and days (yes, days), I exported both the sheet music (via cutepdf maker) and the midi.
The midi goes into SynthFont. There I make the midi use the Maestro Concert Grand soundfont. I open Audacity. Hit Record. Go back to SynthFont and press play. Once done, I go back to Audacity, do some editing if needed, and export the file as an mp3 or m4a. THEN I open Bandicam. I go to the midi, and press play in synthesia. I record the synthesia piano tutorial with Bandicam and save the video it makes to the desktop. After that’s done I go to Windows Live Movie Maker, put in both the video and the mp3 and make it so that the piano notes and the mp3 are together. I then export the video. And then I’m done. Sometimes I might open the WLMM video in Adobe Premiere Elements to add a reverb effect.
