So Joby making microphones?? This week I'm taking a look at the new Joby WAVO Pro on camera shotgun microphone designed especially for content creators and doing some tests with the mic on the beach. All the audio in this video is recorded on the Joby Wavo Pro directly into the Sony A7Siii mirrorless camera.
I'll let you be the judge, is this the ultimate mic for content creators and filmmakers as Joby claim? The WAVO pro certainly has some cool features including ANR - active noise reduction, +10 and +20db options, auto on/off functionality, EQ via a bluetooth connected app and it also comes with a wind shield and wind jammer which is nice to have included.
This Joby microphone is part of a new range of microphones from Joby aimed directly at content creators and offering on camera mic options as well as wireless lav mics, usb condenser mics and wired lav mics.
