A quick look at Joby Aviation’s all-electric eVTOL air taxi following the announcement of its finalized partnership with Virgin Atlantic.

The companies plan to bring electric air taxi service to the UK, with London Heathrow and Manchester Airport expected to be among the first connection points. Proposed routes include Heathrow to Central London in as little as eight minutes and Manchester Airport to Leeds in approximately 15 minutes.

Joby’s aircraft uses six tilting propellers, takes off and lands vertically, and is designed for quiet, all-electric flights of up to 100 miles. Service remains subject to UK regulatory approval.
