Burton and her assistant were delayed for about 2 hours in a sit-down protest. Later the state arrested two dozen people involved by arriving with large numbers of gardaí to their homes at 5 and 6 in the morning ('dawn raids'). Now 7 people face charges of false imprisonment for delaying this politician, which carries a maximum sentence of life in jail. And many more on other charges.
