Monica meets Joe Artus, the owner of WGA Transit, whose own American Dream story helped inspire a business that has grown to nearly 200 employees. Joe has made giving people a chance a central part of his mission, creating employment opportunities for New Yorkers who have faced barriers to work and helping them build a path toward stability and independence.
Monica hits the streets to meet some of the workers who keep our deliveries moving every day and hear their American Dream stories firsthand.
The show also takes a closer look at the Delivery Protection Act and the concerns small delivery businesses have about what proposed changes could mean for their companies, their employees and the future of local jobs.
