Joan Sutherland sings the moving aria "Mi restano le lagrime" ("Only tears remain to me") from the third act of Handel's opera "Alcina", accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Richard Bonynge. Handel's Alcina was completed on 8 April 1735, and first performed in London at the Theatre Royal, Covent Garden, on 16 April 1935.
