Last (V) Train in service from 2Av-71/Continental Av (June 25th 2010)

NYCREDBIRD 2020-06-25 | Come take a ride on the very last (V) in service from 2Av To 71-Continental Av.
The (V) ran from 71-Continental Av in Queens to 2Av in Manhattan from December 17, 2001 To June 25, 2010.
The (V) was discontinue on June 25, 2010 Due to the 2010 MTA Budget Cuts.
The (V) was replaced by the (M) which now mimics the (V) by 99% From 71-Continental Av to Broadway Lafayette.

The only stop not covered by the (M) is 2Av which just has the (F) stopping there.

Last Day of the R40Slant June 12th, 2009

NYCREDBIRD 2019-06-12 | On June 12, 2009 The last R40Slant made it last rounds on the (A) after 41 in a half years of service.

The Last R40Slant made the 19;52 (7;52pm) out of 207St on the (A) and arrive at Far Rockaway at 21;30 (9;30pm) The consist was N 4425/4424-4415/4414-4398/4399-4257/4256 4433/4432 S
The last run of the R40slants had plenty of Rail Fans even though most gave up when they took the train out of service the 1st time at 207st only to go back in service a short time later others went home or to see The Taking of Pelham 123 (2009) since that was the first day it hit theaters.
The MTA also handed out flyer on one of the runs letting Rail Fans and Passenger know about this special trip (Flyer 14:08)

R42 4736/37 Going to Transit Tech H.S April 13-15, 2009

The R42s replaced R30 8337.
The process of the moves took place on the following dates
4/13/09 R30 8337 was removed on a temporary track. Later on that night R42 4737 was deliver.
4/14/09 R30 8337 was removed via truck to Linden Yard where from there is was towed to 207st Yard for Reefing which took place a year later on 4/17/10.
4/15/09 R42 4736 was deliver via truck from Linden Yard to Transit Tech HS.
4/16/09 The temporary connecting track was removed from the school yard.
The only thing left from R30 8337 in Transit Tech HS is the car trucks which are now on R42 4736.

R32 Phase 2 (B) Back RFW (Night) January 19, 2007

NYCREDBIRD 2017-01-19 | Here is a video I took of an R32 phase 2 (B) Back RFW.
Note this video was taken on 1/19/2007.
Note this video was filmed on the 1st day the R32 phase 2 made there return appearance on the (B). The R32s Phase 2 lasted a few months on the (B) rarely the (Q) before being transfer to Jamaica yd were they were retired sometime later on.
Note 1/19/2007 was also the last time the R32s ran in (N) service and a few days earlier (W) service.
Note Battery died at Kingsbridge Rd
