Here's a glimpse behind the scenes of the making of my piece "State of Being".

My new album "Unravel" is mostly inspired by my favorite element - "water".
The more abstract and conceptual framework for this piece called "State of Being" was to find lush, thick piano chords that could evoke a sense of depth. I also added these smooth and flowing piano arpeggios that change ever so slightly - these are the small ripples on the surface of the water.

The overall ascending motif in the strings (performed beautifully by Bonnie on violin and Kinga on cello), the moving up, note by note, interval by interval depicts the body emerging out of water and rising up. The full video of the recording session will be live on my YouTube channel on Thursday.
