In The Amityville Horror, staring Ryan Reynolds, a Panasonic RC-6030 appears in 8 separate scenes. The clock is also integral to the plot as at 3:15 every night, evil breaks out in the home.The video even brings to light a unrecognized movie mistake in the film. During one scene, the Panasonic RC-6030 changes to the RC-6040. This is clearly seen as the props department obscured the "Panasonic" on the clock, but the RC-6040 displays it proudly. Not to mention the 6040 has a curved front viewing piece and a sleep button on the top right.

If it doesn't start, nine times out of ten all it needs is for the motor to be oiled.But what about these kinds of flip clocks. The battery operated ones with this starting lever.The problem is that many people try to push this lever down hard, like they were trying to start a motorcycle. But what you need to understand is that it's not in the pushing down that starts the clock, but in the letting go. Gently letting the lever go gets this whirligig spinning. This Copal clock appeared in the movie, Knowing, with Nicholas Cage.Although it received mixed reviews, this 2009 science fiction flick is definitely watchable. And even more-so because they included this interesting battery operated flip clock.The clock came out around 1973 so it could be considered technically out of place since the movie is set in 2009. But It's more likely that the director wanted to show that Nicholas Cage's character had some class.The clock was one of copal's "Tuning Fork" clocks - which basically meant that it was an early quartz clock. A big deal at the time, but now a detail sure to evoke yawns.Still, this clock remains one of the prized clocks in the Flip Clock Fans collection.
