Update!
Today we look at how well the JLT 3.0 Oil Separator has performed & I'll show you how to check the oil level on a 2019 Ford F150 with a 5.0 v8.
We installed this oil catch can at around 600km & I now have about 2300km on the truck. (Still under the 3000km break-in period).

Ford states that it's perfectly normal for these 5.0's to consume oil during the break-in period, however, your engine shouldn't burn oil past 3000km (once the piston rings have had a chance to "seat"). This is when the engine has been "broken in".
If your engine continues to burn oil (consume) past the 3000km range, Ford recommends replacing the PCV Valve to the newly designed EV 281 or 7L3Z-6A666-A & also to install the longer 2 quart dipstick.
The oil separator pulled out approx. 1 ounce from the PCV valve, yet I was low on the dipstick about 3/4 of a quart.
I drained the oil catch can & added some 5w20 Fully Synthetic oil to the engine.
