Renzo Gracie third degree black belt, Shawn Williams demonstrates how to catch a far armbar from his trademark position the "Williams Guard". For more moves like this one, check out issue 22 of Jiu-Jitsu Magazine.

About Shawn:
Around 1998/1999, by mistake, Shawn Williams discovered that he could better control opponents while in a High Guard/Rubber Guard position in which the fighter makes a framed grip underneath his own leg (between his knee and opponents shoulder). The move was later named the "Williams Guard". He is the head instructor at 5 Star Martial Arts in Los Angeles, CA.
