I think I was around 16 or 17 when I made this album. It is my first album ever, and a prequel to 'Shook'. Nobody ever heard this one, and I kept it under wraps all these time. At the time I was too afraid to share this to anybody, I felt like i was being exposed. I send this album to 1 record label, and I never heard back from them, and I was devastated lol. So I just gave up. When I listen back to it now, I hear a totally different era and time. I am happy I made this album, and I think now is a good time to share it (on my Birth Day). I feel like I poured my soul into this 'first' album, and it reminded me about the passing of time, and our perspective on life that is always evolving and changing. So even though, it was such a different period of my life, I still think it sounds fresh and like an artifact of my body of work. It is part of the development of my early years as a producer, composer, artist. I hope now, you can also finally (after 20 years!) enjoy this work.
I was listening to a lot of trip hop, old school hiphop, CAN, DJ Shadow, DJ Krush, first hearing jungle music, and experiencing the 'golden era' of D&B.
