Back in the Golden Era of NASCAR there were a handful of "independents" owning and driving their own cars. Jimmy Means was one of these underfunded gladiators competing with the big teams. Sometimes Jimmy would have to get a little creative once Daytona 500 qualifying rolled around just to make the race. He built an adjustable spoiler mechanism into the decklid and still has it! At the same time he spent a lot of time figuring out how to optimize airflow with restrictor plate engines. Jimmy is a wealth of knowledge and even shares a few more stories he'd heard or witnessed over the years.
