After two failed attempts at the course record in 2016/2017 and on a 98 degree day in Auburn, CA - Flagstaff resident Jim Walmsley smashed the course record at the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run previously held by Timothy Olson. Jim's 14 hour 30 minute and 4 second finish bested Olson's record set on 2012 by over 16 minutes.
