Jewel's Catch One was more than a nightclub — it was a movement. Known as the Studio 54 of the West Coast, it stood for four decades as America's oldest Black-owned disco, a pulsing sanctuary of music, fashion, and freedom in the heart of Los Angeles. At the center of it all was Jewel Thais-Williams, the first out Black lesbian to own a nightclub in LA, a woman who turned a dance floor into a declaration.
