What if following Jesus is not simply about believing in Him, serving Him, or asking Him to help us—but about discovering that Christ Himself is our life?
Paul said, “For to me to live is Christ.” He also spoke of travailing until Christ is formed in us.
That formation requires displacement. Something old must give way so something new can take shape.
That may be why some seasons feel empty. What feels like loss, surrender, or even death may actually be part of the process by which Christ becomes more fully formed in us.
The paradox of the Kingdom is this:
Surrender produces life.
Death produces life.
Losing produces finding.
Perhaps God isn't merely asking you to give Him a part of your life.
Perhaps He is bringing you to the place where Jesus Himself becomes your life.
