“I can run, but I can't hide from my family line.”
Gonna start my annual rewatch of Gilmore Girls in a few weeks, and I had to edit something about one of the most misunderstood character! It took me a while to understand both Jess and Rory individuals storylines past season 3, but now I think I kinda got it... Jess is better than me, because if my parents would've done something like this to me I would never speak to them like ever again, lol! Instead he never hated his mom, he was just (comprehensibly) angry because she completely give up on him, she choose another man instead of raising her own son, thank god there was Luke taking care of him (or at least he tried to), otherwise who knows what would've happened... I mean, he was only 17, and who knows what he had to went throught as a child, I can't even imagine... I have this feeling that something bad happened to him, that's why it was so hard for him to open up to Rory or even ask for help. In the end, Jess just accepted the situation as it was, and he worked so hard to find his way in life. I'm glad now he has a steady job and a steady life, he deserved it after all he had to endure. I just wish him and Rory could've had a second chance, it's so unfair how it all ended for them, they deserved better, especially Rory. I will always dislike everything that happened to her after season 4, sorry but later seasons (s5-s7) are always the hardest to watch for me.
