54 years ago today, during the Six Day War in 1967 1,900 years since the Romans had destroyed Jerusalem in 70 CE Israel returned as sovereign to her united capital, Jerusalem; to the Temple Mount, the Western Wall, the City of David, the Mount of Olives, and many more sites rich with historic & spiritual significance.
One message we can take from the spirit of Jerusalem Day is not to lose hope. To never give up.
Jerusalem has endured not a few challenging periods throughout her history, and against all odds, not only survives, but thrives, while those who oppressed her in the past can be found today in museums and history books.
Pray for the well-being of Jerusalem; May those who love you be at peace. --- Psalm 122: 6
