![Street Fighter - The Movie [PlayStation] One Hour Of Gameplay
Enjoy one hour of gameplay from the PlayStation 1 launch game Street Fighter - The Movie.
The Product ID is: SLUS-00041
HISTORICAL NOTE: This was the fourth PlayStation game to be released (and also the fourth to go to retail stores for sale) for the North American launch of the PlayStation. This game was released September 5th 1995.. and the PlayStation system launched September 9th 1995.
This game was developed by Capcom and published by Acclaim.
Street Fighter: The Movie, released in Japan as Street Fighter: Real Battle on Film is a 1995 head-to-head fighting game released for the PlayStation and Sega Saturn. The game is based on the 1994 live-action Street Fighter movie and uses digitized images of the films cast posing as the characters in the game. While it shares its title with the arcade game Street Fighter: The Movie, the home version is not a port but a similar game developed on the same premise. The home version was developed and published by Capcom in Japan and released in North America and Europe by Acclaim.
Street Fighter comes full circle as Paul DeSouzas Street Fighter: The Movie, starring Jean Claude Van Damme, Kylie Minogue, and Raul Julia, makes its way back gamers in this collaboration between Capcom and Acclaim. This is Street Fighter like youve never seen it, though, with Mortal Kombat-esque digitized characters and full-motion video taken directly from the film. Modes of play include: Movie Battle, Street Battle, Versus Battle, and Trial Battle.
Movie Battle puts players in the role of Van Dammes character Guile in a mode that loosely follows the movie storyline, though the developers added twists in order to justify pitting good characters against one another. Players have unlimited continues if they lose a fight, but Movie Battle mode ends when the time limit expires. Street Battle is a one-player mode that pits one character against each of the other 13 fighters in single-bout matches, while Versus Battle is for two-player head-to-head matches, and Trial Battle serves as a practice mode.
CHARACTERS:
The home version of Street Fighter: The Movie features many of the same characters from its arcade counterpart, with a few significant differences in its roster. The original film character of Captain Sawada is featured in both versions, however his special moves are different from the ones given to in the arcade version. The original character Blade from the arcade game, along with the other palette swapped Bison Troopers, are not featured in the home versions; Akuma, who was a regular character in the arcade game, is once again a hidden character, who is only selectable via a secret code and can only be fought during the 1-player mode after fulfilling certain requirements. Two characters from the Street Fighter film who were not in the arcade version are included as well: Dee Jay (played by Miguel A. Núñez, Jr.) and Blanka (played by Kim Repia).
Raúl Juliá was set to reprise his role as M. Bison for the video game version. Although he did meet with the games staff, he was already very ill, and ultimately was unable to participate in the project. Darko Tuscan, Julias stunt double from the film, instead filled the role.

This game was developed by SPS and published by Ocean.
A first-generation tennis title made available shortly after the PlayStations launch, Ground Stroke offers basic singles or doubles match options. New players can be registered, allowing for in-game tracking of their win-loss record, including win ratios in singles and doubles play as well as the overall winning ratio of each player. Different camera angles and perspectives can be selected, and during two-player competition its possible to play with a horizontally or vertically split-screen.
