When her dad was seriously ill, Jennifer cried out to God and, in the midst of the struggle, God did a miracle and changed everything for Jennifer. Her faith skyrocketed and she started going along to a church. As her faith continued to grow, she decided to get baptised alongside her partner.
At church, she heard about the Community Grocery and knew she wanted to volunteer. 'The Community Grocery is a place of love, hope and community for me, and where people can know the love of Jesus. I love sharing his love with people who come in store.'
Jennifer was our London Urban Heroes Award 2025 Volunteer of the Year.
