A few days ago I was talking about Jemma's character development with a friend of mine who just started watching AoS. And, even though I thought I couldn't possibly love this character more than I already did, I realised how strong she is and how much this tiny british scientist means to me.
I believe she's one of the most difficult character to describe, understand and vid. She's almost never explicit about her emotions. Well, she learnt to show affection through words, especially when it comes to Fitz, but she still struggles to process and talk about her own traumatic experiences. She jumps into the first chance she gets to help others, but never takes the time she deserves to actually process what she's been through. I believe this is, sometimes, poor writing, but mostly that's how she is. That's how she deals with her problems, avoiding them till they become too much and she needs to have these little breakdowns. Then she's up again, ready to help.
I love the fact that she's always on the verge of losing hope, but she never actually does that. She clings to life with such determination. She is in love with the concept of being alive, no matter how much she suffers, she always keeps going.
And that's what I love the most about her.
You can throw rocks at her, she always finds a way to turn her suffering, anger and pain into something beautiful, something that can help other people.
And that's also what I wanted to highlight in this video. I hope you'll like this, because the text and the overlays gave me a hard time and I had to render it twice and the glitches just won't go away.

Pensa che scaricai la 4x19 solo perché avevo già in programma di viddarli per te - e nella 4x19 tipo cè mezza scena di Simmons ??? della serie non ho motivo di scaricarla ???? però cera questa scena bellissima, e se lho amata io è tutto dire.
