Watch a full tutorial as a 2012 Jeep Patriot will have a new Sony double din radio installed. We will be replacing the existing radio and installing a unit with CarPlay & Android Auto and bluetooth for more modern features.
NOTE: Our Patriot did not come equipped with the factory amplified sound system or steering wheel volume controls. If you have the Steering Wheel Volume Controls on the front or backside of the wheel itself, you will need the Crux SWRCR-59D adapter instead to retain those functions. The Crux SOOCR-26 AND the SWRCR-59 does retain the factory amp if equipped.
This video applies to Jeep Patriot models for years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. This video also includes dash trim and stereo removal, complete installation for the radio, wiring, and testing!
