A CHERISHED MEMORY
I was fortunate enough to attend the final estate sale at Bill Swofford’s home this past year. I was not aware that his piano was still there and realized that I was unable to purchase it due to the restrictions of the sale. I decided to bang out one last play of “Jean”. Though a little rough of a play, as it was emotional for me, plus people were milling around not even knowing who’s things they were bargaining for, this is a cherished memory to me. One shopper stopped and said, “oh I remember that song”. I couldn’t even speak for the tears. So here’s to you Billy!
Again, only the third time I tried playing it, so….😢
