Jean Goldkette And His Orchestra play "Clementine", one of the best sides by the original Jean Goldkette Orchestra that featured Bix Beiderbecke and Frank Trumbauer - waxed at the band's last recording session. Featuring solos by Bix and Joe Venuti, backed by some great string bass playing by Steve Brown (bowing first, then plucking under the solos). Frank Trumbauer leads the sax section on C melody sax.
Eddie Lang plays a couple of neat two-bar breaks on guitar. He used the second of these again, at the start of "Original Chinese Blues" as recorded by Boyd Senter And His Senterpedes (also uploaded on my YouTube channel).
The arrangement sounds like a reworking of the stock by Bill Challis, but was apparently ad-hoc - Challis having left - formulated by various members of the band.
