Finally subbed with this ability. I'm very happy to have done so.

if the artist wants this removed, I will gladly do so.
As you can probably tell, there were a lot of new strats done in this run. Big shoutout to Trainto for some of the new strats they've found. This includes sub bosses, Phantom Forgo Dedede, Forgo Leon, and Morpho Knight. Go give them a follow:
twitter.com/trainto88888
Aside from getting the sub, I do actually plan to improve this run. I'm sure 3:40 is very doable. I did miss the skip of the second phase of Chaos Elfilis' final phase, but that's because I was still getting accustomed to the new strat I found which, as you can see, uses the Phantom Forgos to hurt it. This is more consistent in order to beat the second phase. I actually missed beating it by a frame or 2 here. If the down thrust connected, it would've went down for sure. Here's a link to show you that it's doable:
twitter.com/Havicane64/status/1546463036692627458?s=20&t=61haaNj6Qt5Y3Dyx7eNS-A
Anyways, I'd like to go for an improvement soon. Expect for one in the future!
if the artist wants this removed, I will gladly do so.
Now about the run.. it's just... wow. This just goes to shows that Chaos Elfilis saves WAY too much time when you get perfect RNG. given, I may have lost my ability at the start, but it's still not that bad compared to him flying off.
To be fair, this was more of a test run. I was still experimenting with new strats and different tech(Tropic Woods, for example) and happened to make this run. It's fairly sloppy, as you can tell with a lot of parts, so expect me to clean it up sometime soon.
For retrospect in the amount of time lost in this run: I lost 10 seconds before the final 5; those fights being SillyDillo, Tropic Woods, Fleurina sub boss, and King Dedede. Around 5-6 seconds with Phantom Meta Knight, 3-4 seconds with Phantom Forgo Dedede, and 9 seconds with Forgo Leon's second phase were the time losses for the final 5, but I have a hunch that Morpho Knight can be done 3 seconds quicker. All in all, sub 4 is definitely possible. Just a bit harder than normal since things have to be pretty precise with this ability. Though, the main reason I want this run uploaded was because the soul phase of Chaos Elfilis is beatable before it's meteor phase, which overall saves around 20-25 seconds.
I'll definitely go for an improvement. I'd like to see sub 4 happen with this ability.
and YES, I'm aware Toy Hammer is faster.
also, yes, I'm still aware Toy Hammer is faster.
Needless to say about this run is that it's considerably solid given with this ability. I'm positive a 4:40 run is doable with it, or possibly even lower. WR isn’t possible with this ability but it’s fun pushing down times for other abilities.
Most of my time save lies within Chaos Elfilis and it's first phase. The start of it is very heavy on RNG if you want him to stay on stage. More times than none, he'll just fly out to the background or sometimes go through different portals, but it's very possible he'll stay on stage and you can save around 10-15 seconds because of that, maybe even more. I also made a handful of mistakes on some of these bosses, such as Phantom Forgo Dedede, where I accidentally jumped when I wanted to do down thrust to immediately end the fight, and the soul phase of Chaos Elfilis. He should always go down during the meteor phase, but I missed the first giant sword swing before he went into the background and I missed the second due to RNG, since the stairs had me climb 5 meteor pillars instead of 4, which I had to use the confusion waves instead.
All in all, I do plan to go for sub 5 in the future. It'll be rough, considering Phantom Meta Knight and Chaos Elfilis are heavy around RNG and they're unpredictable with what they do.
Yes, I am also aware Toy Hammer is faster.

Surprise surprise. I didn't move on from BC3...
This was a category I was neglecting to play a lot for my own intentions but time came around, and I thought to myself that this would be an interesting category to play. Being one of the best BC3 drivers, I decided to play this and I honestly regret that I didn't try this earlier, as I had many good laps and a couple of fails with this category. This is my very first 3/3 run and it just so happens to be WR. Honestly, I'm not surprised. I know I can achieve 1:57 pretty easily, and I plan on doing so in the future. This run has much to work on. There are lot of minor driving mistakes as well as a couple of major ones.
Lap 1 was driven nicely but then, you know, I get bad lows and a bad shortcut. If that weren't bad enough, I had a pretty wide last turn and I missed the first chain on the straight, which is one of the most important chains on the track, aside from the second one.
Lap 2 was going well up until the 4th turn happened, then the driving kinda went down the drain. Lows would've been alright but I got a bounce on the second one, so that was kind of a downer. The shortcut was good though, but then I get another bad last turn. Though, since I got a chain and then a half, the lap was saved.
Lap 3 was just nerves playing its part on me. You can tell after the first turn. The first low was bad, giving me a bounce. The shortcut wasn't great, even though I got the slip from the wall. I was just way too far to the right with it, as I played the shroom kind of safe. The last turn was good. Last straight, missed the first chain, of course, but get a half second chain. I swear, that last chain on each lap is so much easier to get than the first one on the straight.
Overall, a decent run for 4 drops. There were some minor wheelie turns here and there, as well. Not done here, though. Definitely going to go for 1:57. If I feel up to it, I'll push it to a low 1:57. My best split Lap 1 is 39.122(chain and half) and Lap 2 is 39.278. There's more potential in me for sure. Back in 2015, I've had a 39.393 with every drop and a 39.2 missing the first chain on the straight, while the other two were halves. Don't remember the exact split sadly.

What? You thought I was going to leave this track without hitting my goal? Yeah right. I may not have uploaded in the past 8 months but that doesn't mean I'm dead. I took my break off this game and moved on to other things. I was still somewhat active on YouTube however, but I just wasn't uploading anything. Since it's summer and I have a bit more free time, I decided to play this game once again. Reminded that I didn't hit my goal here with the 2:16.7 in thought, I decided to push to obtain that goal, but it seems I overachieved and pushed it far beyond what I was expecting. Honestly, I think breaks really help with this game. I got this time in about one hour of playing. Doesn't that say a lot? Maybe it's just the game. Who even knows. All I know is, surprises happen and this was one of the biggest time jumps I've had. First Delfino, now this. That all said, I'm glad to have pushed far beyond my goal and nail something I'm content with for now.
As for the run...
Lap 1 was great. What more can you say about a lap 1 that's less than .030 (.027 to be exact) behind the BKS? 3 great lows, decent driving, and both chains. I do think the turn after the ramp cost the lap from being a .4 though, as that turn was pretty wide. Overall, solid lap and one of the fastest laps I'll probably ever see in a run on this track.
Lap 2 was somewhat dire. The first turn of this lap was played a bit safe after noticing how great my lap 1 was, which cost a bit more time. The main upset were the lows. They may have looked good, but take notice of the bounces I got after the first and third low. Those cost me some time, despite them looking better than an average low. Only the fifth low of this lap was perfect without any errors. Had I not got those bounces, we might've been looking at an easy .4 lap 2 in this run. Last turn was also pretty bad. I released the MT a bit later than usual because, again, I played a bit safe but this also caused me to go too far to the left on the straight, which then made me yank in my wheelie, so I lose quite a bit more time there as well, but I was happy enough to get a chain to save that from dying. Though, a .6 with a chain and a half on lap 2/3 is pretty mediocre in my eyes, but I can't control the bounces on those lows, which were the main time losers in the lap.
Lap 3 was nicely driven. The third turn and turn before lows were a bit wide though and can be brushed up on. The lows, however, were not as good as you think they are. Better than the average, for sure, but take a look, as I get bounces even on the first and second lows, which were good until I got those bounces. They definitely cost me some time there but since I was less nervous on this lap, due to lap 2 being a .6 with those chains, I drove a bit better. The turn after the ramp was also pretty bad, as I took the turn pretty wide, knowing I was on a good pace. Though, one thing I can be proud of was the last turn. I honestly thought I was going to hit it, but that elbow went straight through it. Really nice lap for a chain and a half as well.
My goal has been reached, but if you read this, you're probably going to wonder if I'm going to improve. I may improve sometime, but not now. Although, returning to this track was quite fun and I enjoyed playing it. Though, I'm probably only saying that because I really didn't invest that much time into it (about 3 days) and improved so quickly. Anyways, future plans for this track will come whenever I feel like it. If they don't, then oh well. A 2:16.6 is a great time to leave on. If I return, I'll maybe make .5 or .4 my end goal.
Also, this run was set on my old wii (no working disc drive on the wii) on an iso, which is why the top 5 is different.
If you read everything, then thanks. If you skimmed through and got the jist of it, then thanks. If you didn't, well at least you were curious enough to click the description for something, but I don't care.

So after setting my run on Delfino Square, I took a trip back to memory lane. I left this track in May because I was hardly getting anywhere every time I played the track until I finally managed a .873. After that, I just stopped playing the game as often as I did. This week September, I had a bit more time than I usually did, so I picked up BC3. It's unbelievable that I improved in a matter of 3 days later. Even though it's by a small amount, I'll accept this over my previous run as it's better driven.
As for the run, Lap 1 and 3 are pretty much the same in this run. They have pretty good driving but bad lows, however, the chains save these laps from being something bad. Lap 2, on the other hand, had good lows, but bad driving after the lows, which cost me more time, but the chains saved this lap from dying so that's a plus. This run has better chains than my previous run but due to the lows, I lost more time than usual. Had I got a couple more good lows, this would've been the .7 goal I wanted but I'll keep going for it.
Fun fact, this is the second time I've improved by .009 on this track. First time is when I went from 2:17.169 to 2:17.160.

Absolutely speechless at this time. I can't even believe I managed to get this far on the track. Honestly, this is the first time I've been completely happy AND satisfied with a run in this game. To improve from .694 to .571 in a week as well? That just says so much. Over .1 cut from my previous run is fucking huge, especially on a track like this. It just feels so amazing. Cannot be anymore pleased with this.
Now for the run:
Lap 1 was a very solid lap. No huge mistakes and very nicely driven. The only thing I was disappointed about was the missed slip off the stairs but I still even managed to get that MT out quickly even when I missed it so it wasn't a huge letdown. The bridge strat I usually do lap 2 happened this lap as well, due to me pressing my wheelie button too quickly, but I happened to get a very good Totom strat out of it, which is why this lap was saved. Overall, an amazing lap.
Lap 2 was actually pretty solid for double half chains. I was surprised it was a .8 lap because there were a few letdowns in this lap. The first turn was wide. The stone bridge alignment was a bit off to the left than usual. The sc exit was ehhh, well it wasn't too bad but it could be improved for sure. Finally, the last turn was bad as well because of the miss timing for the hop, but other than those, this lap was driven nicely so I'm proud of that.
Lap 3... Maaaan, I don't even know how the hell I drove this lap with my fucking nerves. I just got so nervous when I saw I got a double chain. The second turn of this lap though showed how nervous I really was. I even hit back a second time just so I can be sure I wouldn't hit the wall. It's hardly noticeable as I do it very quickly so I don't go too wide, but it's there to see if you have good eyes. I even yanked in my wheelie on the stairs a bit, not knowing if I would stick or not. I did manage to get the stick but the wheelie yank didn't look like it did too much so I was happy about that. The sc exit was sorta like lap 2s. Not too bad but still can be improved by quite some. Everything else followed through and this lap happened. Happy to have this lap in a run like this.

Lap 1 was going well up until I missed the slip after the stairs and the last turn. Both of those cost the lap from being a mid .7 but this lap is still a decent lap to have in a run.
Lap 2 was a nicely driven lap. No huge mistakes in this lap. The two parts that can be improved is the sc entrance and a lower bridge. The last turn bounce wasn't too bad. The alignment going into lap 3 was a bit shaky though.
Lap 3 was also fine. Nothing majorly bad in this lap. The two parts that could be done better were the slip, as it was done pretty slowly, and the last turn, but nerves got a me a bit toward the end so that's why those parts were more shaky than the driving beforehand.

It honestly feels really amazing to have finally gotten it. However, aside from getting it, this run right here has a loooot of driving to clean up on. Aside from what I can improve in the driving, it honestly feels great to have world record on another track. I will definitely aim for 2:04.6, but my goal is 2:04.5.

Hahaaaa yeah well, sadly you don't get everything you want, but it does bump me to 2nd WW by .001 so not really complaining, even if it's a minor improvement. A lot better driving than my previous run but still has its share of mistakes. I do feel like a 2:04.5 is more doable at this point as well so that will be my goal.
The biggest jokes in this run are the shortcut lap 2 and the last turn lap 3.

A small improvement but I at least got a .8 and got out of .9, which I'm content with. However, this run is a lot more sloppier than my previous run.
Lap 1 was fairly solid. Only the second turn and shortcut entrance were bad, as they were very wide. The slight bounce entering the bridge wasn't all that bad either. Overall, a good lap.
Lap 2 was horrible. There's some turns that can be improved on. The main time killer in this lap was the bridge. Giving me a bounce and the wheelie not coming out due to my controller being a little shit. Lost a lot of time there just because of that dumb fail.
Lap 3 was actually pretty bad. Don't get me wrong, a .0 is solid, but this one had MANY turns that were played terrible. The first turn was wide as fuck. The fourth turn was wide as well and then I instawheelied too much to the left which in result led to a wide fifth turn. The stone bridge was kind of iffy as well. The shortcut exit was wide and I got a slight bounce from it as well. The slip gave me a bounce, which made me charge the second mt a lot slower. Even after all that, it was still a .0. Chains are too op I swear. Btw, this isn't my best lap 3. My old wii had a 41.052 saved, which had only one chain in the lap.
Even though the improvement wasn't what I was expecting, it's still something nonetheless so I'm happy about that. I'll keep going from here.

YOOO 905 STRIKES AGAIN!! I love these digits.
I'm honestly just astonished right now. After I got my 1:21 on MC, I just decided between BC3 or rDS. I streamed some runs of BC3 on my ustream but didn't really get anywhere. After a few hours of playing BC3, I tried out rDS and pulled off a lot of good laps and thus started me picking up this track again. I literally have no idea how I got this run so quickly. It just happened after I was calling with Robert and I just said I'll play some rDS and I pulled this run off in like 10 minutes. I shit you not. This is the fastest PR I've ever made in the game. Honestly just astonishing..
Lap 1 was pretty good. Actually, there are a lot of turns that were bad. The 3rd and 4th turn being bad and hopping a bit late on the stone bridge(turn before shortcut). However, I do think the low bridge saved the lap for it to be a .7 so I'm pleased with that. I felt like this lap could've been a low .7, or even .6, if I improved on those turns that were wide and not getting the slip on the third turn cost a bit of time as well so definitely could've been lower.
Lap 2 had a lot of wide turns. Even more than my former record. The shortcut entrance and exit were terrible as well. The bridge on the other hand was fairly well played. It could've still been better, but this one is also good to have as well. The last turn clipped some grass slowing me down. The chains saved this lap big time. I also liked the second chain. Twist halves look cool.
Lap 3 was solid for a drop then a half. Even between the chains had really slight wheelie turns. The one major flaw about this lap was the last turn. It was wide and I got a bounce afterwards. The funny thing is, even with all those, if the drop was a full chain, it still could've been World Record. I surprise myself a lot.
As you can tell, my goal is World Record. The many wide turns this run had can really be improved on, and saving more time. Hopefully I can achieve it soon.
Also if you don't know where 905 is from, I had 2:16.905 on GBA Bowser Castle 3 (No-Shortcut) so that's why I mentioned the digits.

Hooray! I finally got the sub. Happened pretty fast. I've only been playing the track for like 5-6 days so getting this in less than a week feels pretty amazing. However, aside from it being sub, it has its share of mistakes so I'll delve into each lap by detail.
Lap 1 was decent for my standards. The first shroom was a disaster though, throwing me really wide, causing me to lose some time and a .5 lap 1. However, even though it did that, I managed to take the sc just fine afterwards so it saved the lap and gave me a low .6, which I was content with.
Lap 2 was also pretty decent but some turns are taken pretty wide. The turn after the chain chomp had a slow wheelie, since I dropped to 96, instead of staying at 98, and the last two turns were wide so those can definitely be improved on. My best lap 2 split is a .061, which is exactly .100 faster than this lap. Pretty funny huh?
Lap 3 went down the drain. I had an easy .0 lap going, but my nerves kicked in after getting the chains, not to mention the perfect alignment going into the lap. The first few turns were fine, but after the realignment for the chain chomp turn, everything went downhill. I even dropped to 95 twice due to a slight wheelie turn. After the chain chomp turn and then the following turn after that one, due to bad alignment. However, I'm glad I still managed to make it a .1.
My goal's been reached. I do want to return someday to push this to .8 without ramp but for now, I'm glad I got the sub. This can still go down more. My former pr (1:22.023) was only around .040 away and it had two drops in that run, and one of the drops was a twist drop too, so I can still push this down a lot more. I'll do it whenever I feel like coming back to the track.
Also this run is ranked 5th regional I'm pretty sure.

Thus started me playing this. Tbh, this run happened more quicker than I thought. I didn't think I'd pull off regionals in just 3 days. Sometimes I surprise myself hah!
As for the run, it's pretty decent for a low .1 but I can still push this further.
Lap 1 was oddly alright for my standards. I took that first shroom a lot wider than usual because I was afraid I'd bounce if I took it tighter. I bounce a lot when I try to go tight then exit the grass cut quickly. I've hit a couple .6 lap 1s so I can push this lower.
Lap 2 had a lot of bad alignments which made me start my drifts more wider than usual. There were a few wheelie turns toward the end of the lap as well so I can get a good alignment into the next lap. Overall, it's a decent lap for my standards but can still be pushed lower.
Lap 3 was pretty well. The start of the lap had a drop as well. This lap shows my potential as the driving was pretty good as well. The turn after the chain chomp had a few wheelie turns though. This can still be pushed to a .0 if I get both chains and decent driving. A solid lap overall.
My goal is 1:21. I hope to achieve it sometime in the future.
This run is also ranked 7th Regional I think.... The regionals page wasn't updated so I'm not completely sure.

It feels great to get an improvement after so long, but damn this run is so god damn chain reliant. Reminds me of my .952 run on Delfino Square, hahaha. What a funny coincidence. I started playing this track around the 5th of April, which was a year ago since my first 2:16 run was set. I wanted to see if I could nail my goal, which is 2:16.7, so this is a good start from that.
Lap 1 was nice. A few errors in the driving, but the lows were great and the double half was good too. For some reason, it feels like half-chains don't even save that much.. must be just me.
Lap 2, a lot of things went wrong. A couple of turns were wide. The lows were bad, especially the first low giving that awful bounce, and the last turn was terrible. I even had to turn in my wheelie on the last straight for a better alignment, so the chains really saved this lap.
Lap 3 was driven pretty nicely. A few turns could be improved obviously, but nonetheless, a good lap. It feels nice to hit another .4 too. The only bad parts were last turn and the wheelie yank, which probably costed a .3, but not a lot of complaints
Hope to push this to a .7 soon, but this run is going to be tough to run up against..
