Christian pastor at the Revolution Church, Jay Bakker, started a church in a bar for those who had given up on the Christian faith. Jay believes we spend too much time on theology and trying to figure out what our faith is all about, but, what he really thinks is important is "loving people where they’re at". Jay has been through a lot, he’s seen horrible things from religion, what religion does to some, his passion is just to love people. To see a peaceful reaffirmation, especially in the Christian church, where we’re learning to respect other people’s faiths, where we’re able to look into the text and realize it’s not all perfect. "The Christian faith is supposed to be about forgiveness and grace and hope, but it seems to be about the opposite" and to Jay that is very hurtful. "God is so much bigger and so much greater than any of us will ever grasp or understand" and Jay encourages us to grow, search, seek, but, above all, love.
