4‑year‑old Javeayah Harris of Aiken County, South Carolina was first reported missing on June 30, 2026, when her mother, Mischelia (Michilae) Herring, called 911 claiming the child had disappeared. Within days, investigators announced they no longer believed she was missing — but had been dead for at least a month before the call was ever made.

Search efforts later expanded outside Aiken County, including areas in Fairfield County near Debutary Creek and the Catawba River, where investigators believe her body may have been disposed.
