Project Description
This Python tutorial we will see how to Create a simple donut chart application using Tkinter in Python.
The main components are a DonutChart class that creates the main application window and a DonutChartPanel class that handles the drawing of the donut chart on a canvas.
The chart represents data slices with different colors and includes a legend to describe each slice.
What We Will Use To Build This Project ? :
- Python Programming Language.
- Tkinter Library (To Create The Gui).
- Visual Studio Code Editor.
What We Will Do In This Project ? :
- Create Donut Chart Panel (DonutChartPanel class).
- Draw the Donut Chart (draw_donut_chart method).
- Calculate the size and position of the donut chart based on the canvas size.
- Iterate over the data to draw each slice as an arc using the create_arc method.
- Draw an inner circle to achieve the donut effect using the create_oval method.
- Draw a legend on the canvas to describe each slice, showing a colored rectangle and a text label with the slice number and percentage.

Project Description
This Python tutorial we will see how to Create a line chart with labeled axes and data points.
We will use the tkinter library to draw the chart, which includes grid lines, labels, and a title. The LineChartApp class is the main application frame that initializes and packs the LineChart canvas into a window.
What We Will Use To Build This Project ? :
- Python Programming Language.
- Tkinter Library (To Create The Gui).
- Visual Studio Code Editor.
What We Will Do In This Project ? :
- Create LineChart Class:
Inherits from tk.Canvas to draw custom graphics.
Initializes padding, labels, and calls draw_chart to render the chart.
- draw_chart Method:
Calculates dimensions and starting points for the chart.
Draws vertical and horizontal axis labels.
Draws a rectangle to represent the chart area.
Adds grid lines for better data visualization.
Plots sample data points and connects them with lines.
- Drawing Labels:
draw_vertical_label and draw_horizontal_label methods position and render axis labels.
- Displaying Sample Data:
Example data [50, 90, 30, 80, 10] is used to plot points on the chart.
Data points are drawn as red circles.
Lines connecting the data points are drawn in blue.
