Karaoke in Japan is way more than just singing! 🎤🇯🇵
From parties and watching sports to fan activities, food, and private rooms, Japanese karaoke offers much more than you might expect.
In this video, we visit Karaoke Pasela in Akihabara to show you how karaoke works in Japan, what to expect, and how to enjoy it like a local—even if it’s your first time!

Children ages 0–12 can use the karaoke room free of the basic room charge and receive one free drink. Additional food and drinks are charged separately.
• Outside Food & Drinks
Outside food and drinks are not allowed. Baby food is an exception.
• Ordering Food & Drinks
Orders may take longer during busy hours, so we recommend ordering food and drinks early.
• Guests Who Are Minors
Under Japanese regulations, high school students are considered minors, even if they are 18 years old. They may stay until 10:00 PM (22:00) only when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Large Luggage
You’re welcome to bring large luggage into your karaoke room. Paid luggage storage is also available at some Pasela locations.
