Finally we reach the Sengoku Jidai!
The starting and ending points of the famed Sengoku Jidai, the Era of Warring States, are a subject of opinion and debate, but between roughly 1470 and about 1620, the Japanese islands experienced a prolonged period of armed conflict which gave rise to some of the most famous figures of Japanese history like Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa ieyasu. It's a period which not only saw extensive warfare but also saw numerous cultural developments in art and religion.
