Japan will be looking to remain perfect when they face Saudi Arabia in their third round Asia Group C 2026 World Cup qualifier clash on Thursday in Jeddah.

Japan have started the third round with two wins from as many matches with 12 goals scored and none conceded.

Head coach Hajime Moriyasu is anticipating a tough encounter against the host Saudis, with the conditions in Jeddah possibly one of the factors which could influence the outcome of the game.

Temperatures are expected to be over 30-degrees C at kickoff and Moriyasu is concerned the heat may affect his squad.
