On Friday, Jan. 17, before the historic snowstorm hit Houston, our team released over 40 cold-stunned green sea turtles back into the wild in Galveston. This was a joint effort with the Gulf Center for Sea Turtle Research, Galveston Island Park Board, Texas Parks & Wildlife, and other volunteers who helped rescue the stranded turtles. Read more about their story before they cleared for release by the Zoo’s veterinary team: bit.ly/42EwB5B

Your support helps the Zoo save sea turtles in the wild, along with our sea turtle conservation partner, Gulf Center for Sea Turtle Research at Texas A&M University at Galveston.
