The wonderfully talented Jana Josephina singing "Prefiero", a Spanish title I wrote and produced for her when she was only 17.
I recently got a hold of the dusted recording and was amazed again by her fabulous performance despite her young age.
The song talks about a woman who finally gathers enough strength to end an abusive relationship and prefers (prefiero) to start making it on her own rather than continuing in "bad company".
In hindsight I consider this a lost masterpiece and I still believe this would be a hit in Spain and Latin America if re-recorded and released.
