Back in 2020 I won the first Apprentice Award from the IOP

and it is a really good looking thing but it was also a great feeling as well.

As someone with a dyslexic background I haven't always felt that I've got the recognition for the work I've put in

but in this instance I really felt like I'd come out on top.

But it's not just a good feeling because it was also very useful.

I was coming to the end of my apprentice contract

I was having to apply for permanent roles

and it provided me that bit of validation and that bit of confidence going into interview

which was really nice and really helpful.

So if you've got anyone or if you are someone who's thinking about applying for it

I'd say it's a very rewarding thing to do.

Just the process itself is a very positive one

and you could really make a difference to you or someone else's future.
