The nicest, kindest and dorkiest actor who has ever lived, or ever will, and that's a fact.
You know, a year ago, I completely hated black and white films. I thought they were hard to look at, the cinematography looked weird and sound was strange. But then I came across a clip from a film called "The Philadelphia Story" and all it took was someone shouting "OH C. K. DEXTER HAAAAAVEN!" and I was done for. I fell in love with a tall, lanky guy with beautiful blue eyes and a smile that makes you weak in the knees. The more films I watched with him, the more I realized that not only is he one of the greatest actors of all time, but also the nicest man that ever came out of Hollywood.
And his face! Can we just please take a second to admire his glorious, dorky face? He has one of those faces that makes you happy just by looking at it.
So, James Maitland Stewart, there's only one thing that I'd like to say to you: thank you. Just THANK YOU! Thank you for making me fall in love with black and white films and just for being who you are/were and for everything you stand for, which, as far as I'm concerned, is a lot.
Also, why couldn't he have married Ginger Rogers? I mean, he and Gloria looked lovely together and seemed awfully happy (44 years of marriage!), but Ginger Rogers!
