ProJared and James Charles are losing subscribers at insane rates due to their own separate controversies. On May 8, ProJared announced his upcoming divorce from his wife, Heidi O' Ferrall. She then revealed that he had (allegedly) cheated on her and exchanged lewd photos with several fans, some of which were underage.
James Charles' story is a lot more complex. But to oversimplify it: On May 10, Tati Westbrook (a mentor of James) released a video in which she cut ties with James Charles. She explained that James' behavior was often offensive (and possibly even predatory to minors). And Tati also felt betrayed, as his choice of a recent sponsor was a rival to her brand. James uploaded an apology video, but it seemed to only make matters worse for him.
