As a big James Bond fan, taking the James Bond Island tour while I was in Phuket, Thailand was high on my to-do list. What I didn't realize is that the tour includes several other islands, and all of the islands have stunning natural beauty. James Bond Island, known as Khao Phing Kan, is where they filmed the 1974 James Bond film The Man With the Golden Gun, starring Roger Moore. It's located in Ao Phang Nga National Park. The rising limestone rock formation known as Ko Ta Pu is immediately recognizable. We canoed around Hong Island through sea caves and saw many beautiful rock formations. On Panak Island, we also went canoeing and again went through a few sea caves, but this time they were a much tighter fit. In fact, we got stuck in one sea cave for a few seconds, until our guide let some air out of our inflatable canoe. We ate a great lunch at the Sea Gypsy Village on Panyee island, which is a Muslim community. We finished our great tour relaxing at the beach at Rang Yai Island. If you are in Thailand, especially in the Phuket area, I highly recommend this tour.
