When I made the chatty demo (youtu.be/8UPdyWx79fQ) I recorded three different jam takes. This is the third attempt. The other two are also on this channel ...somewhere!
The EF-P3 is absolutely at the top of its game where chorus/vibrato pedals are concerned. Start with a very tough and no-nonsense build and design that lets you easily identify both the controls and their positions. There are no groovier-than-thou graphics to make quick tweaks harder than they should be, just a clear, utilitarian interface. Then there are the sounds. Stellar. Definitely one of the best BBD Chorus/Vibratos I've had the good fortune to try. It does a very passable flanger too - just turn 'direct' off, wind up the resonance and depth, wind down the rate and away you go. Having a footswitch to turn on/off the direct signal is great. It means you can switch between two distinct effects or pre-set the pedal to do what you want when you hit the right footswitch which is your bypass. Shane at Echo Fix is a true doyen of the pedal world. Many would be familiar with their EF-X3. I was lucky enough to try one a week or so ago at the Melbourne Guitar Show, on stage. Many, including myself, were totally floored with its sublime and outstanding sound. The EF-P3 Chorus Vibrato continues that tradition of excellence. I am a bona-fide Echo Fix fan and cannot wait to try their other gear soon. 10/10.
