When I listened to this song the lyrics were all in Spanish, UNTIL I came to leitmotif (leitmotiv). I said what?? There ought to be a noun in that spot, but it resembles no other Spanish noun that I was familiar with (although my familiarity is quite limited)
Turns out it is a word that originated with Wagner and apparently has migrated to almost all the western languages. It refers to a recurring musical theme that indicates a specific person or idea. Think Jaws and the music that indicates the shark is nearby.
