I apologize in advance for any artifacts and minor hiccups in the audio. I recorded this in my Surface Pro 6 with the video capturing built in to Windows 10.
So, this is something I did way back in May 2019. It's a Sega Genesis cover of the intro theme used in The Meme Squad Podcast, way back when the Chiptune Cafe was The Meme Squad. It was an NES tune originally created by the former owner of what is now the Chiptune Cafe. Sometime after the Meme Squad became the Chiptune Cafe, three covers emerged. This first was fupaboychris's Sega PSG cover (youtu.be/LOC-0UJGvQ4), then Blue Mario covered the song using only the Sunsoft 5B chip (youtu.be/G6rSrPCmT9E), and finally Blue Mario had the audacity to cover the song using the instruments found in DoricDream's song FamiCommodore (youtu.be/O1XFTBelYEU).
I covered this song using fupaboychris's cover for note reference. Besides using the larger number of channels for full chords, I opted to completely transform this song by giving it a lounge vibe, complete with a slower swing tempo, extra parts for the chords, and my best approximation of a saxophone with FM synth. I also decided to improvise the ending here.
