Taken from the "Haรฏti 86" LP dedicated to Gรฉrald Merceron and his band Haรฏti 2000.
"Haรฏti 2000 comprised Merceron, Herby Widmaรฏer, and novelist and playwright Franck Etienne, one of the founders of the ๐ด๐ฑ๐ช๐ณ๐ข๐ญ๐ช๐ด๐ฎ๐ฆ movement in Haitian literature (and author of the angaje Creole play ๐๐ฆฬ๐ต ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ฏ). Merceron's musicians were associated with groups (Caribbean Sextet, Zรจklรจ, etc) that similarly rejected locally "determinist" conventions. All were in the forfront of what was considered a less essentialist and more universalist tendency in Haitian music, with the goal of producing a refined, complex and cosmopolitan popular music. This wasn't a purely cosmopolitan effort however; Merceron was consumed with transcending local/global and modern/traditional dichotomies."

Jacques Fattier (who played trumpet on Adolphe Parillon's extraordinary LP "I Paint The Sky ~ Cรฉ L'En Mรด ~") has composed and arranged the album and is heard here on trumpet and saxophone, with Mushi Widmaier on DX7 and Moog, Joel Widmaรฏer on drums, the Peliton sisters, Jean Jean Larraque and Ti William on percussion, Jo Charles on Fender bass, Arius Joseph on manman tambour and Ti Claude Marcelin on guitar.
