Clyde Evans is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption. He is the subject of the stranger side-mission "Water and Honesty".
Evans is the owner of Pleasance House in Cholla Springs. His reasons for moving there are unknown, as even he admits that the land isn't suitable for farming (he apparently doesn't believe that there's water under his farm) and raising animals is impossible due to outlaws constantly stealing them. He does seem to hate strangers, however, as evidenced by the fact he keeps a loaded shotgun by his door at all times.
Andrew McAllister asks John Marston to visit Clyde and purchase the deed to Pleasance House so he can start drilling for "water."
