The Henry N. Cobb Lecture Annual Meeting Address is a commissioned lecture by a leading figure in architectural practice, education, or theory who brings a distinctive point of view to the question of what can—and should—animate architectural discourse and production now.

The 2022 address “What’s the Matter?” was delivered by J. Meejin Yoon, Gale and Ira Drukier Dean of the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning at Cornell University. In her Annual Meeting Address, Yoon took stock of the present moment to, focusing on research, the environment, and institutions, delve into what matters, and how architects can build, create and enable it.
