It's my first sampler since I sold my Octatrack 4 years ago.I started sampling some phrases, playing some of my favorite presets on GAIA 2 and then I rearranged everything, chopping, slicing and rearranging everything using the internal SP-404 mkII sequencer. I used Frap Tools USTA as main sequencer which is driving all the voices on my system, using 3 out of its 4 tracks. The main arpeggio comes from BRENSO VCO, envelopes from FALISTRI and some random magic from SAPÈL. I also added the new Mutable Instruments Beads for some granular texture on the background. White noise and Makenoise MMG (hit by some euclidean pulses) were used for the rhythm track.Everything was played in real time and recorded straight to my audio card on Ableton Live.I hope you like it.Thanks for watching!

Erica synths Syntrx - Rock n roll by gattobus gattobus 2020-12-19 | I bought myself this synth for Christmas, it arrived yesterday and I spent all night playing and tweaking... this is what came out from it.Played and recorded on the fly, straight to my audio card, no FX added except for a little bit of compression.I think I barely scratched the surface of this wild beast... but I already love it so much!!!I had the chance to try a real EMS Synthi some time ago, Syntrx sounds different indeed, but the matrix structure offers the same possibilities with some extras. Roland FANTOM Rainy Jam - Acoustic Guitar multi-sampling gattobus 2020-10-05 | Since 2.0 update came out, I started sampling every instrument in my studio!Here's an experiment with my old Landola acoustic guitar.I played some dirty/muted notes and sampled them across 4 octave range (E1-E5), then I processed the samples through FANTOM ZEN-Core engine, adding some synth layers, using the filter to add expression and dynamics.Once the patch was ready, I started playing (and recording) straight away and this sort of jam came out... there are some mistakes and sometimes I lost the timing... but I was improvising and everything was played and composed on the fly! :D I had a lot of fun, I hope you like it too!Thanks for watching!

Making of Zenology Trailer music by Gattobus gattobus 2020-05-12 | Every single sound you hear in this song has been created and programmed using ZEN-Core synth engine, even Drums. I used FANTOM 6 and JUPITER-X to program all the sounds, then I've imported them into ZENOLOGY VST. Everything's been recorded and sequenced using Ableton Live 10.Some of the tones I used are already part of ZENOLOGY, the others will soon be available to download for all ZEN-Core compatible instruments.
