In 1939, at the age of 14, Itzak Goldfinger was captured by the Germans. For six years, he survived 11 labor camps, including Auschwitz, where he received a tattoo numbering 161145 amounting to the number 18, which means “life” in Hebrew. The tattoo became the Helping Hand Coalition's logo, and Isaac became the honorary president of the organization when it was established in 2007. This is Izak's story!
