IWC watchmaker Thomas Zimmermann assembles the Pilot's Venturer Vertical Drive (Ref. IW328601) - a watch conceived not for Earth, but for space.

Developed from a blank sheet by IWC's XPL engineering division, it rethinks the tool watch entirely. There is no crown. Instead, a patent-pending rotating bezel - paired with a rocker switch - controls every function, from winding to setting mission and home time. Designed for astronauts wearing gloves, it's a system built for real conditions beyond our atmosphere.

Inside, the calibre 32722 powers a dual-time display with a 24-hour mission scale - essential when you witness 16 sunrises a day. Outside, white ceramic and Ceratanium® ensure resistance to extreme temperatures, shocks, and vacuum.

Tested and certified for spaceflight by Vast for the Haven-1 mission, this is IWC's first watch engineered specifically for human spaceflight - assembled here, component by component.
