So in case you haven't heard about IW3D yet, it's a modification I'm currently working on with a friend of mine which makes porting cod demos to 3D possible. Right now we're focussing on COD4, but if people are interested in this, it can also be done on other cods like MW2 or MW3 for example.

So as the title says, this is the first test cinematic we've rendered. The demo is some promod demo by 4l3x. The camera movement was made ingame using IW3MVM and exported using IW3D alongside the player movements.
Don't know when it's going to be done yet, still a few things to do until its a fully-automated process.
There's a page dedicated to IW3D progress on http://codmvm.com that I'll be updating with new information from time to time.
You can also check my twitter for regular updates on the stuff I'm working on: http://twitter.com/reallyluckyy

This is not supposed to show off some amazing 3D lighting or that kind of thing, just wanted to showcase that you can basically export and import cinematics from COD4 right now. After importing the player and camera movement one could customize the scene any way he'd want to.

Also had the idea that it'd be pretty cool to have a few people do a COD4 3D edit together as a sort of IW3D release thing. Basically like a normal collaborative COD4 edit just using IW3D to turn the normal clips and cines into some neat 3D scenes. Don't know whether this is going to happen yet though.
