I have tried + researched all of the top red light therapy masks and compared them to the ones on amazon and I can tell you without hesitation that this one is the best. Especially for the price! You can't beat it. It has red light + infrared therapy. There are many benefits to each light so you want them both! There are many levels of red and infrared light, and these are the same as the professionals use. 633nm and 830nm. The strength goes to 40mW/cm and the energy density goes up to 36 J/cm. It also has 292 LED beams. That's SO MANY! Top of the line.
At first, I wanted a mask with the blue light because it claims to help with acne and other microbial benefits. But after researching it, it can make your dark spots + melasma worse which I DO NOT want.
This mask has the 590 nm yellow light(or amber, whatever you want to call it) and I was wondering why this was helpful. I found some studies and did my research and it is unbelievable what it does! It protects against damage of ultraviolet lights which is photoaging. It lowers skin redness, impedes inflammation, counters melasma and other hyperpigmentation of the skin. Counters skin side effects of cancer treatment. Counters rosacea, impedes scar formation, slower skin aging and reduces sunburn intensity and speeds up sunburn healing. I can attest to this because I went to the beach for 5 days straight and did not need to put as much sunscreen on and didn't get burned! It's really amazing. It's amazing and as you can tell, I am VERY passionate about it because I know that it works. I don't miss a day using it. I want to try it on my hair to see if it will help the thickness so TBD on that.
